Ballet I/Modern I~ This combination class is designed to introduce your dancer to classical ballet and Limon Modern technique. They will learn proper technique, alignment, and vocabulary as well as working on strength, flexibility, and musicality.

ages 7-8
Ballet /Modern II~ This class if for the dancer who has had at least two years of ballet and modern technique or has completed ballet/modern I. It will continue emphasizing strong technique, proper alignment, and flexibility during barre and center floor combinations. As well as incorporating longer combinations in their modern technique and floor work. Beginning/Intermediate level of challenge.

ages 9-10
Ballet III~This class is for the dancer who has had at least three years of ballet technique. It has a strong emphasis on technique and proper alignment during barre and center floor combinations. Intermediate level of challenge.

ages 11-12
Ballet IV~ This class if for the dancer who has had at least four years of ballet plus a full year of pointe. It has a greater emphasis on technique, proper alignment and flexibility during batter and center floor combinations. Intermediate/Advanced level of challenge.

ages 12-13
Ballet V ~This class is for the dancer who has had five or more years of ballet technique. It has a strong emphasis on technique, proper alignment, and flexibility during barre and center floor combinations. Dancers are encouraged to take this class on pointe. Advanced level of challenge.

ages 14+
Pointe I~ This class introduces the dancer on how to navigate her first pair of pointe shoes.
She will learn the basic warm-up exercises for rolling through the shoes properly, strengthening their feet, core and balance. At least three years of ballet technique is required.

Pointe II ~ This class is offered to the dancer who has finished their first year of pointe I. Continuation of warm up exercises , including releve', eschappe,' releve' passe'; adding more combinations in the center and across the floor. This will also improve their core, leg and foot strength, as well as their balance.

Pointe III~ This class is designed to enhance the dancer's pointe work with more challenging exercises both at the barre, center floor combinations and across the floor combinations. Dancers must have at least two years of pointe training for this class. Intermediate/ Advanced level of challenge.

Variations ~ This class will explore the great ballet variations of the many classical ballets of our time! Pointe warm-up at the barre and the the dancer will begin to learn and perform the variation in class! At least three years of pointe technique is required.

Lyrical I ~This class combines the discipline of ballet and contemporary and allows the dancer to express emotion, by feeling and interpreting the song.
A short warm-up and stretching starts the class with a continuation of across the floor combinations and choreography.

Lyrical II~ Same as above with more complex combinations.

Modern I~ This class is for beginner dancers of modern dance. It will introduce the dancer to rise and fall, drop and suspend, and moving freely! They will learn arm and leg swings, prances, as well as jumps and leaps. Improvisation will be explored!

ages 7-8
Modern II~ This class will expand from the introductory components explored in Modern I. We will continue to explore drop and suspend as well low runs and floor work. Improvisation will be explored as well.

ages 9-10
Modern III This class explores the technique of Jose' Limon and Paul Taylor. Dancers will understand the use of "drop and suspend" while maintaining proper alignment and strong technique. The craft of choreography and improvisation is explored.

ages 11-13
Modern IV~ This class explores the modern techniques of Jose' Limon and Paul Taylor. Dancers will continue to utilize "drop and suspend" with a deeper understanding. The center floor combinations are more intricate and challenging. The craft of choreography and improvisation is explored at a higher level of execution.

ages 14+
Tap/Jazz I and II/III : These classes will enable the dancer to explore both tap and jazz at the same time. Each genre of dance is a half hour in length. The dancer will learn the core components of tap dance while still working on coordination, rhythm, technique. In jazz, they will work on flexibility, rhythm, core strength, and coordination. Rhythmic combinations will be explored for both genres.

Tap IV~ This class is for the more advanced tapper who has had at least five years of tap experience. The combinations will become more challenging but will continue to work on rhythm and coordination. The dancer will expand their technique with faster, more complex combinations. Must have a good knowledge of tap vocabulary.

Jazz IV~ This class is also for the more advanced jazz dancer. This class will continue to work on strength, flexibility, extension and complex combinations.

Beginner/Intermediate Adult Ballet~ This class is offered for the adult dancer to indulge in their past dance experiences or to begin to learn the art of ballet.
Dancers will begin at the barre for a half hour and then continue to the center and across the floor combinations!
We will work hard but have fun doing it!

Hip Hop I~ This is a new class that is being offered to the dancer who wants to have fun and experience new ways to move! Upbeat pop music will be used to enhance the movements and vibe of the class. Black converse sneakers are required for this class.

Hip Hop II~ This class is for the more experienced hip hopper! It will be a continuation of Hip Hop I with more complex moves and combinations! Black converse sneakers are required for this class.

Tap/Ballet/Tumbling I~This class is for the curious little dancer, which combines tap and ballet. This allows them to experience fun combinations of dance and music together. While enhancing locomotive skills, flexibility and coordination. They will explore basic tumbling skills and end with freeze dance!

Tap/Ballet/Tumbling II~ This class is designed for the dancer who has had tap and ballet I and will continue on to the next level where they will learn more vocabulary and longer combinations of steps including stationery and locomotive skills. They will continue with their tumbling skills and end with freeze dance!

The Allegro Dance Company (ADC) is a performing company which allows the serious dancer to perform in their annual “Nutcracker“, Clara's Dream, production, the spring recital, Arts on the Avenue, as well as various invitations throughout the community.
This opportunity is by audition and the dancer must attend at least two technique classes per week. The class will begin with a forty-five minute ballet or modern warm-up and will continue with rehearsal of the repertoire being choreographed. *Audition takes place at the "Nutcracker audition"
Artistic Director: Nina Balistrere
This class is for the student with some physical and/or mental limitations and gives them a feeling of confidence, success and acceptance! We will work on their gross motor skills through movement and music.

Skirts can be worn. No spandex shorts please.
Modern/Lyrical: convertible pink or black tights, or black spandex shorts and solid color leotard, or solid color tank top
Tap/Jazz: beige jazz shoes, black tap shoes, pink or black tights and solid colored leotard
Hip/Hop: solid colored leggings or spandex shorts, tank top or leotard, BLACK Converse sneakers
Hair must be up in a neat bun for all ballet and pointe technique classes!
No t-shirts or casual shorts may be worn for jazz, modern and lyrical classes. Tank tops, leotards and leggings or biker shorts only.
